Although we were all born in China, our lives have taken us far beyond it. We are a small but diverse team brought together by a shared journey. Our backgrounds range from law to software engineering to biomedical science, and our members include citizens of the United States, mainland China, and Hong Kong SAR. While our paths have been different, we all spent decades studying, working, and building our lives outside of China before choosing to return and settle in cities across the country.
In many ways, going back was no easier than moving somewhere entirely new. Having established most of our lives overseas, the decision carried just as much weight and uncertainty as it would for anyone without a Chinese background.
Each of us has faced the same questions many people are asking today. Is going to China the right decision? What is life there really like? Are my perceptions of China accurate, or are they shaped by the lenses of media, politics, or ideology? What challenges will come up, and how do you navigate them? We have gone through the uncertainty, the paperwork, the cultural adjustments, and the practical realities of making this transition.
That experience shapes everything we do.
We do not believe in presenting China as a perfect place. No country is. What we offer instead is a clear and honest perspective based on real experience. For us, going back was not just a change of location, but a turning point that opened up opportunities we had not imagined before.
Our goal is simple. To help you decide whether China is the right fit for you, and if it is, to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible.
